Blackbird tab - beatles

PROPS GO TO: Robb Anagnostis

Blackbird
John Lennon and Paul McCartney
The Beatles

TAB by: Robb Anagnostis
Date: Fri, 15 Nov 2002

The existing TABs are close but some miss the timing, others leave out notes.
The TAB by Douglas French from 1995 (which this tab is greatly based on) is very good but misses the very important chromatic bass line through the verses (only 3 notes...but important). Others that have the bass line show a really wierd fingering for it. Try this one out. It's really pretty easy. Check out measure #5 where the chromatic bass notes all stay on the A string.

Video Blackbird

Blackbird
This is a video I made from the Beatles song blackbird. I put a bunch of photos of the Beatles together and individually. This is one of my favorite songs. There is a lot of chat about what the song is about : This is what it is said to be about or the meaning of, and some other interesting facts. Paul McCartney wrote this about the civil rights struggle for blacks after reading about race riots in the US. Only 3 things were recorded: Paul's voice, his acoustic guitar, and a tapping ...

The Beatles- Blackbird with lyrics
Blackbird from the White Album. This song is so pretty!

The Beatles - Blackbird (acoustic rehearsal)
Filmed June 11, 1968 lifeofthebeatles.blogspot.com "Blackbird" is a Beatles song from double-disc album The Beatles (also known as The White Album). Blackbird was written by Paul McCartney, but credited as usual to Lennon/McCartney. McCartney was inspired to write this while in Scotland as a reaction to racial tensions escalating in America in the spring of 1968. McCartney revealed on PBS's Great Performances (Paul McCartney: Chaos and Creation at Abbey Road), aired in 2006, that the guitar ...
