One word of note:  It is much easier to play this song with a capo on the
first fret (i.e. play Em G D Em C D... while the 1st fret is fretted).  This
makes it more easier and does not make the guitar sound too choppy.

Patti Smith Live - Changing of the Guards (Christiania 2007)
The Patti Smith group doing a live version of the Bob Dylan song in the gray hall of Christiania (Copenhagen, Denmark). Patti explained after the song that they had had a difficult time performing this one live, but she felt like it worked this time. I couldn't agree more (at least about this time!).
