Hazy Photographs
Photographs I have taken over the past few months. Music from the counting crows.

tranquillized: captivating/captivity
Another hit from your fav poetry joint BLASTED GOAT... This poem is dedicated to it being about 30 degrees in IOWA in FEB :) Music is by the Counting Crows :) sorry I just love this song... "I Am Ready" It's a villanelle ... Captivating/Captivity Fireflies catch in June's flames. Afternoon changes its colour of skin while lightening bugs collect in mason jars. Males wink and mate with females in the dry summer heat. Insects in June, mingle in sweltering flames ignited by a splintered match. Ours live inside glass bottles. Shipwrecked lightening bugs sing in mason jars, songs in buzzes and hums. Lazy bulbs dimly sunken into trees. Fireflies caught in June's flames flicker, hazy beacons, blinking stars. Calling in the night, longing, instinct. Lightening bugs wane in mason jars suffocating after a few days. Beyond the kitchen sink Fireflies blend in June's flames. Lightening bugs fade in mason jars.
