David Bowie's cover of Jacques Brel's song "My Death" at his last gig as Ziggy Stardust in 1973.

David Bowie My Death
David Bowie My Death This is one of Bowie's songs that I really love. It has got a true meaning. Actually it isn't written by him but he sings it with his own, special and unique way. I think he has the most beautiful blue eyes, he is very talented and a legendary glam rock singer. Really glad to had the chance to hear to his work and feel all the feelings that he want to pass to his fans. I love his persona Ziggy Stardust. Some people like him, some others not. The reason is one: If you decide to listen Bowie's songs you have to be able to find the hidden, true meaning of the lyrics and then take a trip to his world. It is a strange world but that's the thing that makes David being special and unique. David I am a true fan, thanks for giving me a chance to dream...

David bowie my death
This is an amazing cover of Jacques Brell's song. I am not a fan of brell... but i do appreciate the beauty of a few of his songs, and this is one of them... stunning performance of David on a stunning song. Lyrics: My death waits like an old roué so confident I'll go his way whistle to him and the passing time... My death waits like a bible truth at the funeral of my youth weep loud for that - and the passing time... My death waits like a witch at night as surely as our love is bright let's not think about the passing time But whatever lies behind the door there is nothing much to do... angel or devil, I don't care for in front of that door... there is you. My death waits like a beggar blind who sees the world through an unlit mind throw him a dime for the passing time... My death waits there between your thighs your cool fingers will close my eyes lets think of that and the passing time My death waits to allow my friends a few good times before it ends so let's drink to that and the passing time But what ever lies behind the door, there is nothing much to do angel or devil I don't care for in front of that door... there is you My death waits there among the leaves in magicians mysterious sleeves rabbits and dogs and the passing time my death waits there among the flowers where the blackest shadow, blackest shadow cowers let's pick lilacs for the passing time My death waits there, in a double bed sails of oblivion at my head so pull up the sheets against the passing time ...
