This song is one of my favourite among the Eagles' songs and I decided to 
transcribe it even if the lyrics are largely incomplete. I'm sorry but it's 
too hard for me to understand each word so I invite you (please!) to help me in
completing this transcription, if you can. Anyway, the chords sound pretty
good but feel free to send me your eventual corrections. Hope you like it!

Most favorite song of Eagles. This is true country-rock and Eagles. It would be more great video quality than previously posted. Jackson Browne and JD Souther appear on the inserted Desperado promotion film. It's a shame they stopped playing this song on stage.

This Eagles song refers to the Doolin-Dalton gang that existed from approx. 1893 to 1898. They mainly robbed banks and trains. A major factor in their demise was a decision to 'out do' anything Jesse James had done by robbing two banks at once in broad daylight at Coffeyville, Kansas. It was a fatal mistake.
