Here's Elvis Costello's "Green Shirt" from the demo version off
the Ryko reissued of "This Years Model".  The original version is
on "Armed Forces" and has very little guitar.  For the demo
version, there is an extra verse (the last one).  Be sure to
concentrate on the bass strings of the chords and use the up and
down picking motion EC does (listen to the record for details)

Video for "Green Shirt" from the "Armed Forces" album. High quality sound. This is off of a VHS tape from 1985 called "The Best of Elvis Costello & the Attractions". The 'video' is a montage of scenes pirated from other Elvis videos. The only original feature are the squiggly, 80's-style cartoons and captions in the frame. Which are lovely. Enjoy! This is an early EC song from his third UK album Armed Forces. I recently came across EC's original acoustic guitar and vocal demo version of the song and it inspired me to cover that version.....ish
