I really like this Fleetwood Mac song. Anyone help me out?

 Steve

Here's my attempt, please forgive any major mistakes I'm going by
memory.

The song is in F, and he (Lindsey Buckingham) uses several guitars, some
with capos some with distortion, feedback (cool.) So I'll just give the
basic cord names, which I usually play bar chords:

F at the 8th fret
C at the 3rd
D at the 5th
Bb at the 1st

Also Lindsey makes extensive use of a Fsus9/F/Fsus9/F (I think that
is what it is called) sequence as well the same in Bb etc. Those are
realtively easy to do using bar cords:

        Fsus9 F Fsus9 F

----------------------------------------------
----------8--------8----------8----------8----
---------10-------10---------10---------10----
---------10-------10---------10---------10----
---------11-------10---------11---------10-----
-----------------------------------------------

I'm going to leave these out, 'cus I'm inexperienced at tabulature as
well as text editors, and the two make a nasty combination.

F C Bb
Loving you isn't the right thing to do

 Bb F
How can I ever change things that I feel?

F C Bb
If I could Baby I'd give you my world

Bb F
How can I if you won't take it from me?

Dm Bb C
You can go your own way (Go your own way)

Dm Bb C
You can call it another lonely day (another lonely day)

etc..etc..

Hope that helps.

Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way - Dance Tour '97
I stumbled across this online one night. This is from the Dance tour in 1997. Geezers?Legends? ... hell maybe both, who knows? But damn good performers the fact remains.

Title says it all. A video of Fleetwood Mac playing go your own way from back in 1977

Fleetwood Mac/Lindsey Buckingham ~ Go Your Own Way ~ New Orleans live 1975
This is ONE OF THE VERY FIRST ever live performances of Lindsey Buckingham's AWESOME Go Your Own Way (my favorite song of all-time, and in my opinion, the BEST song EVER made)!! This rare live track is taken from a great Fleetwood Mac ~ December 6, 1975 (New Orleans, LA) concert!! This song was released via a 7" vinyl single (and a promo. 12" vinyl single) on December 20, 1976, so this rare performance took place one full year before it ever came out!! (This classic song was featured on F.Mac's Rumours album, which was released in February of 1977.) Despite the fact that the second verse was not written yet, (in my opinion) this is one of the best LIVE versions EVER done of this song!! I LOVE this!! This song is what started it all for me folks. Whenever I heard it playing on the radio back in 1977, I was totally blown away and needless to say, I have been a HUGE fan of his ever since (30+ years). As much as I love Stevie, Lindsey has ALWAYS been my personal favorite. He is my idol. In my opinion, there is NO ONE else like him. **** Update (09/27/2008): I can see why some of you would think that the year of this live clip should be 1976 and not 1975 and I do understand why you would think that. (A couple of you have commented on this subject, so far.) However, I do strongly believe that 1975 is the correct year of this live performance due to several different reasons. 1.) I have a listing of their 1975/1976 tour venues/dates and this New Orleans concert (that this performance is pulled from) is indeed dated as December 6, of 1975. By the way, in November of this same year, Go Your Own Way was performed at a Winston Salem, NC show. At this show (before the song starts) Lindsey states that he just wrote this song about a couple of weeks ago. This may have been the very first time that this song was ever performed live, but the sound quality is not as good as the one that I posted. 2.) As you know, he wrote this song about Stevie, and although Lindsey and Stevie did not officially break-up until 1976, they were having problems in 1975. 3.) Lindsey had stated in the past that this was one of the first songs written for the Rumours album and that it pretty much set the whole tone of that album. Fleetwood Mac started recording the Rumours album in the studio in February of 1976. 4.) Go Your Own Way was released via a single on December 20, 1976. So, if the date of the performance that I posted should be 1976, the song should have been completed by then ~ the second verse was not written yet. So, it makes more sense that this would be 1975. (An interesting tidbit: another song of Lindsey's, which is called: Heartbreaker (Circles In Time), was performed at the Buckingham Nicks farewell January 1975 concert. It is a GREAT song (and one of my favorite Lindsey songs), but it has yet to appear on any album, which really surprises me. Anyways, just like Go Your Own Way, the second verse was not written yet.) 5.) Lastly, although Go your Own Way was not part of their usual 1975/1976 tour song set list, this was meant as a sneak preview of what was to be on their next album, which would be Rumours. I could be wrong, but at this point I only know of two shows that Go Your Own Way was done live before the Rumours album came out and it was the two 1975 shows/venues (Winston and New Orleans). If there were other times when it was performed, like in 1976, I am currently not aware of it. If anybody knows of any other shows that included this song (prior to Rumours coming out), please let me know.**** This video features some of my favorite photos of Lindsey & Stevie, which I obtained via my personal collection on them and from the great site: BuckinghamNicks.net. *** THIS IS MY VERY FIRST VIDEO!! *** ~ Enjoy and thank you for watching!! ~Jackie
