Out of all the cover songs (Shout, We Are the Champions) that Green day has done this is
my favorite. This song was originally written by The Crickets in the late 50's. It was
and made famous by Bobby Fuller
Four in the mid 60's. The song was then again covered by The Clash in the late 70's.

Green Day had re-covered this song for a Pepsi Commercial that aired for the Superbowl, 
2004

This is a more complicated song by Green Day seeing that there is a counter melody
the verse. I looked at a tab and the chord progression was completely correct but in the
key so here I have corrected it.

Playing Live options. When Green Day plays this they only play the counter melody. They
sometimes play the chorus solo but play it during the bridge. From trying to sing and
this song at the same time its really hard to play the main melody because the B flat (I 
that’s what it is) makes your voice go to low when trying to sing. You could play it
way here only have the counter melody person playing do the singing.

Effects: Basically just a good distortion.
