Frozen Man
How strange would it be to die (for whatever reason), be quickly frozen, and then, 100 years later, become reanimated with the help of modern science? This is what James Taylor's "Frozen Man" is about. He was inspired to write a fictional account on this subject after seeing an issue of National Geographic magazine with a portrait photograph of a man who had be uncovered after being frozen in ice for a hundred years. The man had died while on expedition in the 1860's searching for a Northwest passage to the Pacific. JT writes it from the first person narrative and in addition to finely crafted lyrics, it also has some nifty guitar hooks to boot. "Frozen Man" is on Taylor's 1991 CD "New Moon Shine" and wonderful live version on his "One Man Band" CD / DVD released last year. . "Lord have mercy on the Frozen Man!" - FK
