I've always been fascinated by lighthouses. They represent the highest form of love: staying still and making sure people are safe. I do believe a Lighthouse loves very much that ship who's come half-way around the world to see him and to stay away from him. He loves her though he doesn't know her at all. This beautiful song by James Taylor is for all those people who feel at times like lost and lonely "lighthouses".
