"Hit the Lights" is the first track on the album. It was the first song that Hetfield and Ulrich worked on when forming Metallica. Early versions of the song can be heard on 1982's Metal Massacre compilation of emerging thrash metal bands, as well as its subsequent re-issue, and the group's first demo, No Life 'Til Leather. Metallica-Hit the lights(1st Metal massacre) w/Lloyd grant
This is Metallica's recording of "hit the lights", which appeared on the first pressing of the Metal Massacre compilation album. This is the only recording of Lloyd grant performing with Metallica. Please note that the song is actually 4:24 minutes long, not 7:33.
