There are several tabs of this on the internet but I don't like any of them
so I have written my own version. Standard tuning on E.

It mirrors pretty carefully what Neil played for MTV, but there are a few
changes. Mostly it seems to be that Neil strums some parts rather than
fingerpicking, but the fingering seems accurate.

This is for anyone who wants to learn the fret fingering for Neil Young's great song: The Needle and the Damage Done. It does not show the picking (which is fairly straightforward). I use a single plectrum in this example. Not perfect, of course - and I'm playing too fast. The slow version at the end is probably closer to the correct speed.
