om: "Bret"Subject: p/pearl_jam/all_those_yesterdays.tab Here is my tab to that most wonderful Beatles-esque song off of Pearl Jam's fifth album, YIELD. Note: ....slide p...pull off v...virbrato Standard Tuning This is the Main Riff. One guitar plays this throughout most of the song while another does alternate riffs. Riff #1 E------------------------------------------------------- A--------------1------------------------1--------------- G--------2------------------------------1--------------- D---3---------------3-p-0----------2---------2---------- A------------------------------3------------------------ E------------------------------------------------------- This is played throughout the verse. Riff #2 "Maybe it'll wash away.... E----------1-----------3------------------------------------ B------3-------------5---5----------1----------------1------ G---3--------3-3 > 5-------------2-------------------1------ D-----------------------------3---------3-p-0-----2-----2--- A----------------------------------------------3------------ E----------------------------------------------------------- "All those yesterdays..............." (F5) E---------------1---------------------3----------------8---- B---------3-----------------------5---------5----------10--- G---3------------------3-3> 5--------------------------10--- D------------------------------------------------------10--- A-------------------------------------------------------8--- E----------------------------------------------------------- On the next part, one guitar plays riff # 1 while the other alternates between F5 and E5. F5 E5 ------------ ----------- ------10--- -----9----- ------10--- -----9----- ------10--- -----9----- ------8---- -----7----- ----------- ----------- What (F5)are you running (E5)from taking (F5)pills to get (E5)along creating (F5)walls to call(E5)your own.(F5) (E5) So (F5)no one catches (E5)you drifting (F5)off and doing (E5)all the things (F5)that we (E5)all (F5)do. (E5) Riff #2 "And now wash away....all those yesterdays." Riff #1 during: "All those yesterdays, all those yesterdays, all those yesterdays. All those paper plates, all those yesterdays, all those yesterdays." Riff #3 This riff is played after the last echo of "all those yesterdays" till the end of the song. It's played with a little distortion at first then a lot when Ed starts singing "There's still time for escape." E-------------------------------------------- B-------------------------------------------- G---------2--------------3------------------- D---------------------3---------------------- A------3-------3-3>5---------5v-------------- E---1---------------------------4v--4-----0-- REPEAT Song Fades out while guitar alternates between F5 and E5. and that's that. The last riff is a little tricky at first, but after a few tries, it's pretty easy. I hope to tab out the solo at the end at some time or another. Enjoy Bret Slight correction: During the last riff until the end of the song, the rhythm alternates between F, Bb(5), and G# F Bb(5) G# (E)----1---- ----1---- ----3----- (B)----1---- ----3---- ----3----- (G)----2---- ----3---- ----4----- (D)----3---- ----3---- ----5----- (A)----3---- ----1---- ----5----- (E)----1---- --------- ----3----- And here's the solo at the end, as promised. Just listen along with the CD to get those George Harrison type stops and bends down. Other than that, it's pretty darn easy. Enjoy Bret breezy@surfsouth.com

Pearl Jam - All Those Yesterdays - Chembow - 4-8-08
the song is called "All Those Yesterdays" and it is taken off the Yield album put out by Pearl Jam Tuesday, April 8th, 2008 Las Vegas Nevada. this is a twenty five minute video sped up to fit the length of the song. I positioned my camera just left of center of the sun and left it there while I went into the store. after reviewing the video, I have become suspicious that maybe this second sun that we have been seeing is not really a sun at all, but maybe a projector light of sorts. I don't really know, that is just a guess, but if I am right, it will be interesting to see if they can really fool all of the people all of the time.
