Pink Floyd ~ Money ~ Dark Side of the Moon. ~video~ plus Live footage
$$Money$$$ "Dark Side of the Moon (titled Dark Side of the Moon in the 1993 CD edition) is a concept album by the British progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It was released on March 17, 1973 in the US and March 24, 1973 in the UK.[1] The Dark Side of the Moon builds upon previous experimentation that Pink Floyd had explored in their live shows and recordings, but without the extended instrumental excursions that according to critic David Fricke had become characteristic of the band after founding member Syd Barrett left the band in 1968 - what guitarist David Gilmour, Barrett's replacement, referred to as excessive "... noodling on the guitar." Its themes include conflict, greed, aging and mental illness (or "insanity"); the latter inspired in part by the deteriorating mental state of Barrett, who had been the band's principal lyricist and composer.[2] The album is notable for its use of musique concrète and conceptual, philosophical lyrics, as found in much of Pink Floyd's other work. The band's most successful release, The Dark Side of the Moon spent 741 consecutive weeks (14 years) on the USA-based Billboard 200 album chart, the longest duration of any album in history.[3] Additionally, the album holds the record of spending the highest amount of time on the Billboard charts, staying there for more than 1500 weeks (almost 29 years). It is one of three albums tied for the claim of second highest selling album globally of all time, selling forty million or more units.[4 ...

Pink Floyd - Any Colour You like
here is the song Any Colour You Like, from the Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon. It's my favorite song on that album.

Making of The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd - Part 4/5
The most phenomenal recording in rock & roll history: The Dark Side of the Moon. The Floyd's 1973 masterpiece remained on bestseller charts for nearly 14 years, and its enduring importance is honored here by all four members of Pink Floyd and key personnel (engineer Alan Parsons, mixing supervisor Chris Thomas, sleeve designer Storm Thorgerson, and others) who played essential roles in the landmark album's creation. Produced for the Classic Albums series that originally aired on VH-1, this thorough and thought-provoking study highlights a track-by-track dissection of the lp's master tapes (including the spoken-word passages that bookend the album), superbly interlaced with archival footage, early demo tapes, concert animations, and latter-day acoustic performances by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright to demonstrate each track's contribution to the final mix--a sonic exploration that extends to the illuminating bonus features. Informative interviews abound (including Rolling Stone senior editor David Fricke), and much-deserved credit is given to saxophonist Dick Parry, solo vocalist Clare Torry, and former Capitol Records chairman Bhaskar Menon, who fostered the album's US commercial success.

Pink Floyd - Marooned (Stereo)
The Division Bell is the most recent studio album released to date by Pink Floyd, released in 1994 (March 30 in the United Kingdom and April 5 in the United States), and the second album without original bassist Roger Waters. It was recorded at a number of studios, including guitarist/vocalist David Gilmour's houseboat studio called The Astoria. It went to #1 in the UK and debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 album charts in April of 1994, spending four weeks as the top album in the country. By contrast, Pink Floyd's previous album, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, had peaked at #3. The Division Bell was certified Gold, Platinum, and Double Platinum in the US in June of 1994 and Triple Platinum in January of 1999. Its release was accompanied by an extremely successful tour documented in the P•U•L•S•E album released the following year. Track listing All lead vocals performed by David Gilmour unless stated otherwise. 1. "Cluster One" (David Gilmour, Richard Wright) -- 5:58 * Instrumental 2. "What Do You Want from Me?" The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story - Part 4/5
stanley5.blogspot.com 史丹利五提供The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story - Part 4 The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story is a documentary released on DVD on 24 March 2003, produced by Otmoor Productions in 2001 as part of the bbc's Omnibus series and originally called Syd Barrett: Crazy Diamond (in the US, a slightly modified version aired as the last episode of vh1's Legends series in January, 2002). Directed by John Edginton, the film includes interviews with all the Pink Floyd members - Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Rick Wright - plus the "fifth Pink Floyd", Bob Klose, who left the band in 1965. The film includes rare early television appearances of Pink Floyd and home movies. In 2006 a new "definitive edition DVD" was produced in the UK and Europe in which the full unedited interviews conducted by the director with Pink Floyd are now made available, alongside the original documentary. The focus of the film is Syd Barrett, the lead guitarist of the early Pink Floyd, who created their unique psychedelic sound and all the band's early songs, including the singles "Arnold Layne" and "See Emily Play" and much of their first album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Syd Barrett's name passed into rock folklore when he quit Pink Floyd in 1968 and, after two extraordinary but erratic solo albums, disappeared from music altogether amid rumours of a drug-induced breakdown. The Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett Story has contributions from Humble Pie drummer Jerry Shirley (who ...
